Dimensions(1 inch = 1 foot): 10 3/4 inches x 15 7/8 inches
General decor: Either country or contemporary. This room will be visually divided into two distinct sections but not partitioned.
Floor: Probably pine.
Furniture: Range, refrigerator, sink, upper and lower cabinets, possibly an island with a butcher-block surface.
Lighting: Ceiling fixture, style undecided.
Accessories: Pots and pans, kitchen towels, dishes, canister set, food items in cabinets and refrigerator. I want to keep a tea pot and perhaps one cooking pan on the stove, a few dishes in the sink, and some cans and other accessories on the counter areas to make it look like the kitchen is currently in use.
Miscellaneous: The entrance to this area will be from the dining area.
Floor: Probably pine, with area rug. Threshold in the doorway to the hall, to separate the different flooring.
Furniture: Table, 4 chairs, hutch or china cabinet.
Lighting: Plain brass chandelier.
Accessories: A fully set table with tablecloth or placemats, napkins in rings, candlestick with hurricane as centerpiece. Undecided accessories for hutch/cabinet.
Miscellaneous: There will be an open doorway from the front of the hall, with no door.
Comments: The dining area will be at the front of the room, the kitchen toward the back. To create a feeling of separate rooms, I may install a kind of large doorway between the two areas with trim right up against the wall; I may use a small (1 inch) partition from the ceiling to enhance the effect without blocking the view into the dining area.
