Dimensions (1 inch = 1 foot): 10 3/4 inches x 10 1/2 inches plus attic walkway General decor: Undecided, probably something consistent with the 1950s. Walls: Wallpaper on one wall and possibly the sloped ceiling (see Miscellaneous), contrasting paper or paint on other wall, painted baseboard and ceiling molding.
Floor: Wide wood boards, area rug. Furniture: Brass bed with floral fabric, dresser, vanity or desk with chair, bedside table. Lighting: Lamps on bedside table and desk or vanity. Accessories: Must-haves for a teen room - television or stereo. Posters on walls, framed pictures on dresser. Books and magazines on bedside table and/or desk. Laundry basket with unfolded laundry, for a realistic effect! Miscellaneous: Because this is an attic (though a finished one), I may add roof rafters. If so, these would be painted to match the wood trim, and with the space between either painted or papered. Comments: As a pre-teen, I always thought it would be cool to have an attic bedroom. My friend Lori did, and when we went up there to play or listen to records, it was like our own world. Hence my decision to make an attic bedroom for a girl.
